U.S. Travel Bucket List

A few weeks ago on my flight home from Warsaw, I started thinking about what trip I want to do next. Somewhere international again? Or maybe somewhere closer to home? As much as I love seeing Europe, there are still so many places in the States I haven't seen yet. Seriously, these are places that most people cross off before they go outside the country! So with that in mind, here is my U.S. Bucket List...which one will I see next?

Grand Canyon/Four Corners
I'm counting this as one item because they're in the same region and I could do them both in the same trip. Seriously, I haven't made it to the Southwest yet and I really want to go. A lot of my friends have been to the Grand Canyon and have nothing but amazing stories and incredible pictures to share.

Chincoteague Island
Who wouldn't want to see a bunch of wild ponies in their natural habitat?

San Antonio
My parents have been to San Antonio for business trips a time or two. I've never heard anything bad about San Antonio. I love river cities, and I hear SA's river walk is one of the best in the country. And who knows...maybe I'll even run into Tim Duncan around town. A girl can hope, right?

California
Okay, so I've been to the state of California before, but only to San Diego. It's such a huge state and there are so many other parts and cities that I haven't seen. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Napa...I want to see where my wine comes from!

Las Vegas
Everyone has to go at least once, right? And it's okay, because whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. At least that's what they tell you!

Charleston
According to Southern Living's little "What's Your Southern City?" quiz, I belong in Charleston...and yet, I have never been there! It's one of the South's darlings and has so much to offer.

New Orleans
I'd like to see Nawlins at New Years and/or Mardi Gras at some point, but maybe I should start slow and visit once during a quieter time and get my bearings before I tackle that.

And last but certainly not least...

Hawaii
Well, it's about as long a flight as going to Europe, but it's a whole different world out there. I would love to see that side of paradise one day...and maybe see a dolphin or two while I'm there?

What's on your travel bucket list?
