Five on Friday: Valentine's Day edition!

Happy Friday, and Happy Valentine's Day! In light of the day, today's five items are going to be my five favorite love songs (in no particular order). I'm allowed to be sappy sometimes, right?

1. "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera -- This has always been my favorite song from this musical. It's just so lovely, and I love Christine and Raoul singing to each other.

2. "I Want to Hold Your Hand," The Beatles -- So many Beatles songs to choose from, and I picked this one. This was a close call among this, "P.S. I Love You," and "All My Loving," but this won out...mostly because it was one of the first songs I learned to play on piano.

3. "Faithfully," Journey -- Don't tell me you don't rock out to this song (or any Journey song) on the radio. This is the epitome of love power ballads.

4. "Lady," Styx -- A close second to the aforementioned "epitome of love power ballads." Dennis DeYoung's voice is so unique, like no other. Loved Styx when I saw them in concert in 2006 in Philly.

5. "Give a Little Bit," Supertramp -- This song will never get old, and I will never not sing along.

Okay, this was a lot harder than I imagined. There were so many close calls and honorable mentions, so this list is in no way exclusive!

Happy Valentine's Day! Spend it with those you love. :)
