I'm going to grad school, y'all!

I'm so excited to say that I've been accepted to a wonderful graduate program at an incredible university!

Next fall, I will attend Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, to pursue my master's degree in Interactive Media. The program is only ten months long, and I will come out with a ton of new skills in a multitude of areas.

Elon's iMedia program, as it is called, is jam-packed with new experiences, both in the classroom and outside. The course of study combines traditional theory and hands-on learning to open students to the technological and digital world(s), even more than we might already know and see. The Adobe Creative Suite will become a huge part of my life, and my coffee intake will most likely skyrocket.

You mean your coffee intake is low enough that there's still room for it to skyrocket?

What makes Elon's iMedia program especially exciting and appealing is its study abroad component. Elon University as a whole has a huge focus on studying abroad.  During Elon's winter term, iMedia students travel to several countries--usually in Latin, Central, and South America--and create an online presence for an organization in those areas.  Talk about putting your classroom knowledge to work!

The spring semester is mostly devoted to a capstone project, which is largely open to student choice.  And then in May, it's all finished.

I'm so happy that I will be able to pursue my dream of ultimately working in digital marketing with help from this amazing program.  It's going to be an amazing experience and I can't wait for it to begin.
