Summer 2014 Highlights (Pictures)

It's so hard to believe that summer is (almost) officially over. Every year summer seems to go by so quickly, and I find myself wondering where it went and why didn't I get a chance to say goodbye. This summer came and went particularly fast because of my move to grad school. Before I get too far into the fall, I do want to take a few minutes to recap my summer and give it a proper goodbye. So here are my summer 2014 highlights.

To start, I graduated from Virginia Tech (technically end of spring, but close enough).

I explored Eastern Europe for two weeks with my best friend Jordan and 30-some other awesome people from around the world. See more pictures at this post.

Berlin

Prague

Budapest

Warsaw

I got a new car: a 2015 Mazda CX-5! It's wonderful and I love it.

Kevin and I visited a lot, which included my first ever trip to the New Jersey shore.

Cape May, NJ, as seen from the top of the lighthouse.

At the top of the lighthouse!

Jordan joined my family for a weekend trip to New York to see "Aladdin" at the New Amsterdam Theater! Super awesome show. I highly recommend it!

And finally, at the end of July, I moved to North Carolina and started graduate school at Elon University. It's been an adventure already and I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

Shanks, what a hike. I had to go from Litton-Reaves to Shanks to Robeson one semester. That was hellacious (on the days I actually went to class...).
