Five on Friday!

Happy Friday, y'all! I know it's been a while since I've done one of these, but I promise I'm getting back on the routine. Plus, with graduation fast approaching--May 16/17--I will have a ton to share!

1. Reel Big Fish show -- This Wednesday, the ska band Reel Big Fish played an awesome concert at Tech. Kevin and I went and had a blast. They played all of my favorite songs, including "Sell Out," "Where Have You Been," "Beer," and others. But the best part was meeting lead singer Aaron Barrett in the parking lot after the show! Kevin and I ran into him as we were walking back to his car. He was really cool and talked to us for a few minutes. Meeting famous people is fun.

2. Graduation regalia has arrived!  Yes, it's getting close to that time. I ordered my cap and gown a couple weeks ago, and I'm slowly collecting my cords. It's just making graduation more and more of a reality. Do I really have to leave Tech?

I'm definitely going to decorate the top of my cap. I have an idea, just have to do it! I hope it will look as awesome as I think it will.

3. 3.2 Run for 32 -- Each year, VT hosts a 5k race around the anniversary of the April 16th tragedy. We call it the "3.2 Run for 32" in honor of the 32 lives lost on April 16, 2007. I'm excited to participate in the run for the second time. I think this ranks as one of my favorite VT traditions. The pre-race balloon release is one of the coolest and most touching sights to experience. 32 white balloons are let go, followed by 32 seconds of silence, and then followed by dozens of maroon and orange balloons. It's just awesome.

4. Time to try turkey burgers?  I've been wanting to try making my own turkey burgers for a long time. Now that the weather is warming up, that wish is becoming more and more likely. Maybe this weekend? If you have any good recipes or links to recipes, please feel free to share! I have this one saved on Pinterest that looks awesome, but am open to other suggestions!

I hope my turkey burgers turn out so good that they make me say, "BAM!" Also, this is what I'm like when I cook. I like to pretend I know what I'm doing.

5. Easter is coming! And this means it's almost time to dye eggs! My mom and I have done this almost every year since I was a kid. It's one of my favorite holiday and family traditions, and I hope to keep it going with my own kids one day. I also love consuming chocolate bunnies like it's my job. I eat the ears first, FYI.

This is basically me when I eat chocolate bunnies...except more dainty.

Happy Friday! Have a wonderful weekend!
