Playlist Time: Kick Sadness in the Face

It's high time I put together another playlist, isn't it?  It's been too long.

We all experience heartbreak and sadness in our lives.  Sometimes it cuts really deep and takes a while to go away.  But for others, the hurt fades pretty quickly.  I'll be honest, I'm pretty jealous of those people.

What's the first thing we all do when we're distraught and heartbroken (after consuming a pint or three of B&J's Half-Baked Cookie Dough, of course)?  Listen to music.  We're all guilty of putting that one sappy song on repeat for days on end, but eventually, you'll get tired of it.  The sadness will wear off, and suddenly, you'll want to stop crying and feel better.  So cut off "Teardrops on my Guitar," put a few of these on repeat (but not for days on end), and turn that frown upside down.

Okay, that was cheesy and dumb, but humor me.

...and my personal favorite, "Friends in Low Places (The Long Version)" by the one and only Garth Brooks.

This song is best enjoyed when blasted from your car on a sunny day with all the windows down.  The strange looks you get are totally worth it.
