Berries & Cream a la Kate

Ever have those moments when you're hungry, but not absolutely starving?  When you want something healthful and tasty?

I have your solution.

I fell into the Greek yogurt trap a couple years ago.  I wasn't a huge fan of it until all the flavors came out, but now, I think I have an (un)healthy addiction to it.  Although I suppose there are worse addictions to have...like coffee...or vanilla Coke Zero...but that's beside the point.

Anyway, I combined my Greek yogurt and berry addictions into one delicious snack.  It's great when you're hungry but not quite hungry enough for a full meal.  I make it several times a week and I love it.  It's low-fat and low-calorie, but filling.  What more could you ask?

Berries & Cream a la Kate

One 8-oz cup of Greek yogurt - I use the Yoplait vanilla, but plain works just as well if you like your yogurt a little more tart.  I personally find plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt kind of gross, so I always add a little Splenda or use vanilla yogurt.

1/2 cup granola - I use Koshi Go Lean, the honey-almond-flax variety, but any granola works just as well.

Chopped berries - strawberries are my kryptonite, so I throw in a handful of chopped strawberries.  Any other kind of berry, or probably peaches, would work, too.

Mix it all up and enjoy.

Addicting, right?
