Five on Friday!

It's that time again, so let's do it!

1. Back to Blacksburg -- it's almost here: my senior year!  I can't believe it, either.  It's a really strange feeling; I'm more than ready to go back, see all my wonderful friends and get rolling with classes and my jobs, but I don't want it to be my last year!  I love Blacksburg too much!  But alas... I leave Pennsylvania on Monday and make the 7-hour drive down through the mountains to the land of maroon and orange.  Let's make it a good one.

The drill field ... cannot wait to have this as my view again!

2. Geico owls commercial -- is it just me, or does anyone else find this absolutely hilarious?  Geico generally produces some good commercials, and this is one of my recent favorites.  Fun fact: Earl Cox, the man we can thank for the Geico Gecko, is a Hokie!

3. Bells on Sunday -- what better way to spend my last day in Pennsylvania than ringing bells at my church?  I love ringing with this choir; they're a lot of fun and we all enjoy one another's company.

4. NFL is (almost) back -- the preseason is upon us, which means the real season isn't too far behind!  I can't wait for Sundays of endless football, especially when my Texans are playing.  I've got my TJ Yates jersey all clean and ready to sport proudly.  Maybe I'll add a JJ Watt article this year?

5. 15 days until #BeatBama -- speaking of football... let's go...

Oh, and one more bit of good news: I had knee issues this summer after coming back from London, and spent some time in physical therapy.  I was released from therapy a couple weeks ago and have been working my way back into my old running and workout routines.  I'm happy to say that I can comfortably run a mile again, and my time keeps improving.  I almost went crazy not being able to flat-out run during therapy, so breaking back into it feels great.  I only hope I can keep getting better.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
