The 12 Days of Finals

...as told by a communication and English double major. Can be loosely applied to almost any liberal arts major, though.

On the twelfth day of finals, my professors gave to me...

TWELVE chapters of reading (for one class)

ELEVEN pages of notes for one exam.  Do you handwrite or type?

TEN hours of sleep in a week because you're such a good student that you spend all your free time studying so you can get that 4.0.  Or maybe that's just me...

NINE trips to Starbucks.  You keep them in business, don't you?

EIGHT hours of studying/paper-writing background music

SEVEN (more) job applications

SIX nonfiction essays

FIIIIIIVE shots of espresso...per drink.

FOUR social media sites blocked for maximum productivity

THREE take-home finals (oh God you're so close to being done)

TWO portfolios (almost there come on you're so close)

and ONE very happy senior who is more than ready for a break and some time off...and a stiff drink.

Because you are DONE.
